My Story
Jenny Martin started Jbird Pilates as a way to connect her passion for Pilates to the community. The benefits of Pilates are amazing and with 6 years of teaching experience and special training in anatomy, kinesiology, corrective postural analysis and pre and postpartum preparation and recovery, Jenny has a lot to offer. Private Pilates sessions will aid in: Improving posture, core strength, joint mobility, injury recovery, balance and much more.
After becoming a mom in 2003 Jenny realized that Postpartum Recovery is an important part of a new mom's life that is largely ignored. She is passionate about helping new moms learn about their new mom bodies and help them become strong and pain free so that they can better focus on the many demands of family life!

​Jenny has also worked with young dancers to reach their athletic goals. This often includes: hip strengthening, hip flexibility, overall flexibility, balance, jump training, upper body strength, injury recovery and preventative exercises that will aid in keeping bodies pain free.
Jbird Pilates believes that movement is medicine and works with clients using trigger point rolling and restorative stretching to aid in reducing muscle tension and increase flexibility.
Before her pilates career, Jenny taught partner salsa dance as well as, a Cuban style of salsa called Rueda de Casino. You can see the Salsa Challenge videos she produced with her father - Sam Gill at this link. And even more of their Salsa lessons and videos here.
Jenny loves to spend time with her amazing family, travel, read and explore outdoors.
